Laser Hair RemovalDedham Medical Aesthetics

Laser hair removal is a convenient, noninvasive method for permanently reducing or removing unwanted facial or body hair. It leaves the skin looking smoother and silkier than waxing, electrolysis or razors and is a gentle technique that can treat larger areas effectively with minimal discomfort and with no downtime.

Cost of Laser Hair Removal

When you hear the phrase “Laser Hair Removal” you don’t think ‘cheap;’ you think ‘expensive.’ This is the case for most laser companies, but not for Dedham Medical Aesthetics. We offer affordable packages that won’t suck your wallet dry. This is what makes Dedham Medical Aesthetics different: we try to save you time and money. We are always offering great deals and giveaways on our website and social media sites like Instagram.

Does Laser Hair Removal Hurt?

The pain and discomfort are what worry most clients. Being in a room with a stranger using a laser on your body does not sounds pleasant. Here at Dedham Medical Aesthetics we try to make the experience as comfortable as possible. Some compare the pain to a rubber band snapping on the skin. Though everyone’s pain tolerance is different, the average client finds it manageable and worth losing the painful ingrown hairs or getting cut while shaving.

Common Myths

Myth: Laser hair removal causes skin damage.
Fact: Laser hair removal does not cause any damage to the skin, just the hair follicle. The laser destroys the follicle, but who wants that hair anyway? It may leave the skin a little red and puffy for a few minutes, but that goes away. It is 100% safe when you follow all the pre- and post-treatment care instructions.

Myth: Laser hair removal works on every hair color.
Fact: Times, serif;”>: True, we can treat all hair colors, but it doesn’t mean the treatments will produce effective results, especially on lighter hair colors (blonde, red, gray). The laser only targets the dark pigment (melanin) in the hair. The most effective results are seen on dark hair.

Myth: Laser hair removal is a one-treatment process.
Fact: When you sign up to get laser, you should expect multiple treatments to get the maximum results you’re looking for. Why? The hair growth cycles are different on every part of your body. The laser is only effective on the follicles that are in the active growth cycle. We track your cycles and get you on the correct intervals so each treatment occurs during those active growth phases. There is no set expectation to what results you will see and when since everyone is unique and responds different to treatments.

Myth: Laser hair removal is time consuming.
Fact: Your time is valuable, and that’s why it’s our goal is to save you time! The average appointment takes only 15-20 minutes (slightly more if you come in to treat your full body). Our laser technicians are highly trained to get you in and out while still doing a thorough job.
